Kettle Lakes
Most lakes in Michigan are kettle lakes. Kettle Lakes happen when partially buried ice blocks melt. The origin is the glacier melts, then the block of ice melts with debris. Next, the debris forms the kettle shape and fills with water. It looks like a lake in the shape of a kettle.
